The Second coming of Jesus Christ is vividly described by Paul in both His books of Thessalonians and Corinthians and also in Mathews.
Mathew 24:30-31 states “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”
I Thessalonians 4:16-17 states “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so, shall we ever be with the Lord.”
I Corinthians 15:51-52 states “Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
If we carefully go through the above Bible verses, the following emerge clearly:
• Jesus shall come in the clouds of heaven. His feet shall not touch the ground and He shall be in the clouds of heaven.
• He shall come in great power and glory, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and the great sound of the trumpet of God.
• Every one shall see Him. His coming shall not be in secrecy.
• His purpose is to collect His elect from all the four corners of this world.
• When the Lord comes, both the righteous dead and the righteous living shall be gathered by the angels of the Lord.
• The righteous dead in Christ shall first rise in the air followed by the righteous living.
• While rising up to meet the Lord, the righteous shall be changed from the corruptible to uncorruptible. The mortal man shall become immortal. Further “and this mortal shall have put on immortality” (I Corinthians 15:54)
• Revelation 1:7 “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him.”
This clearly negates the secret rapture theory, as all the righteous both living and dead shall be caught up in the air and go with their Lord, in the clear sighting of the entire world. If the righteous living were secretly raptured, then the question of taking then again does not arise. Are they coming back to be taken again by Jesus? Certainly not, there is no such mention in the Scriptures. It is sadly a figment of man’s imagination. Beware of false prophets. Sadly, for a few pennies and fame, they snatch away the crown of everlasting life.
