Existence of God – Part II

The fact that we are debating the existence of God, is proof enough that God exists. The theory of evolution itself is riddled with holes. It is based on the assumption that everything emanates from matter and that matter is something that can neither be created nor destroyed. By this logic, the evolutionary process has also created Earth. If this is the case, then the minutest material of life that led to the evolutionary process needs to be explained as to where it came from. Certainly, it is not evolution but Creation that fits the glove. If we examine the other side of the coin and believe in the scriptures, then we will understand that this earth was created by God. If God can create this Earth, He has existed and exists.

If God exists, then we may ask who made God, but we know that he has always existed. If someone cannot accept that answer, then we can help them do a simple thought experiment: If somebody made God, who made the somebody who made God? And who made the somebody who made the somebody who made God… and suppose we kept going till the zillionth somebody, we would still ask who made that somebody. There is no end to it. We have to acknowledge, therefore, a Somebody who was not made, but always existed, was the origin and maker of the world, Who is God.

The Bible tells us that God is without beginning and end: Psalms 90:2 “Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.” So, from the Biblical viewpoint, there is no such thing as the beginning of God and no such thing as the end of God. He is the beginning and the end and the Creator God. God therefore exists from the beginning and will exist till eternity.

The bible is full of the Prophecies and promises fulfilled over the passage of time and some are yet to be fulfilled. In the book of Genesis God promised Abraham who was childless till the age of a hundred years that his descendants shall be like the sands of the sea. Genesis 31:12 “And thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.” This promise was made by God more than four thousand years ago. Despite the genocide of the Jews, today the Jews are all over the world and are richly blessed by God. Had it not been a God who existed and who promised, such a thing would not have come to pass.

Several prophecies have been made known to the prophets and saints of God who have revealed the same in the Scriptures, particularly the books of Daniel and Revelation. Many of these have been fulfilled. In like fashion, the Lord has also promised that He would return the second time to take with Him to heaven His faithful. For this purpose, several signs were given, of which most of them have been fulfilled. If there is someone who knows the end from the beginning then it is none other than the creator God. Isaiah 46:9-10 “Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:”
